Weekend Group Rides
Road Riding
Sunday Morning Rides
These rides are primarily targeted to improve endurance by maintaining a steady pace over ever increasing distances throughout the course of the season.
Sunday ride destinations are not prescheduled. The destination is chosen by those that attend on the morning of the ride. Weather conditions usually are the most determining factor. Riders may set up a planned ride in advance by using the OCC ride board.
Rides usually depart from Durham College at 10:00 a.m. sharp in April and October and 9:00 a.m. sharp May to September.
Check the Ride Board for any possible changes in departure time, location or destination.

Mountain Biking
Saturday Morning Rides
There has always been a group of OCC members that have used mountain biking as an alternate cycling endeavour, whether it be for cross training purposes or just to break the monotony of road riding all the time. Then there are also those in our club, who consider mountain biking as their real love of cycling. This year, 2010, the Oshawa Cycling Club is giving the mountain biker's their due, by organizing club group mountain bike rides. Beginning in May (if the trails are ready) we will have organized mountain bike rides on the first and third Saturdays of the month.
The plan is to ride at Long Sault Conservation area on the first Saturday and either the Ganaraska Forest or the Durham Forest on the third Saturday. All rides will begin at 9:00 a.m. Long Sault is a good place for novice riders to learn as there is limited technical single track there and the Ganaraska and Durham Forests offer a multitude of options for novice, intermediate and expert riders. This being our first official foray into club mountain biking, the plan will be developed and modified as needed throughout the year. Possibly even a trip to Hardwood Hills could be worked into it.
Make Your Own Ride
The OCC Ride Board is a good place to check for ongoing ride information or to make your own ride. If you want to ride at a time when there is no organized group ride, post a message on the board and create your own ride and make some new friends.
